ALL SALES ARE FINAL: Returns are not environmentally friendly as they contribute to excess waste, increase gas emissions, and consume additional resources.
In the event that a garment does not work out for you personally, please be sure to:
• donate the garment to an organization in need
• gift the garment to a friend
•resell the garment on a third party site
• take the garment to a local seamstress near you
This helps to keep the items in rotation to ones who can use it while preventing waste ♻️
ITEM DID NOT FIT: There are no refunds or exchanges for items that do not fit correctly as all sales are final.
The approximate measurements, and fabrics used, are included in the description of all items to reference prior to a purchase being made.
The approximate measurements included are to be used as reference to better ensure a proper fit. Ordinary Selenophile cannot guarantee that a garment may fit you even with the approximate measurements included.

Please keep in mind that the garments are handmade and the approximate measurements are taken by hand which may vary slightly. This is not considered a flaw to a garment.
AFTER WEARING OR WASHING: There are no refund or exchanges for items after wearing as all sales are final.
You may not return or exchange a garment after wearing or washing, even if a flaw occurs to the garment after wearing once or washing once, to prevent waste. There will be no exceptions.
The garments are handmade from ethically sourced or recycled fabrics which may be delicate. Pressure, pulling threads, sharp objects, setting, type of use, washing, drying etc may cause damage to a garment. Please wear and handle all garments with care.
RECEIVED A FLAWED GARMENT: Please view the imperfections & flaws FAQ for more details regarding imperfections that are not considered flaws that will not be accepted for a return & exchange.
Please note that if, and only if, an exchange or reimbursement is discussed or given, that is up to my discretion only and it will vary on a case per case basis.
There is no guarantee you will be able to exchange or be reimbursed.
If, and only if, a reimbursement is discussed, as well as given, it will be given in the form of store credit only, for the item cost only, with the shipping cost deducted. Please note that your inquiry may not be accepted for an exchange or reimbursement for store credit - this is to be expected.
EXCHANGE CONDITIONS:
If there is a flaw with your garment, that is not stated in the imperfection & flaws FAQ:
💬 Please contact through the contact form below within 48 HOURS of your package being delivered. We will discuss the flaw and further exchange options.
🔖 The Ordinary Selenophile hang tag must be attached to the garment upon returning & exchanging, otherwise your exchange will not be accepted and the garment will be returned to the customer.
🚫If you contact Ordinary Selenophile after the 48 hour period or your package being delivered, your exchange & return will not be accepted.
🚫 After you have been contacted by Ordinary Selenophile regarding your inquiry, if there is no response from the customer within 24 hours, your exchange & return will not be accepted.
Please be sure to check your promotions or spam folder in your email to locate emails from Ordinary Selenophile. Also search “OrdinarySelenophile” in the search bar of your email to locate it.
🚫 All merchandise being returned must be dropped off to the postal carrier within 48 hours of the return label being sent to your email.
🚫 Any package shipped to Ordinary Selenophile after 48 hours of receiving the return label will be returned back to you as your exchange will no longer be accepted.
🚫 The customer is responsible for paying the return shipping cost. The shipping cost will be deducted from store credit given.
🚫 If exchanging, the customer is responsible for both the shipping costs to return and reship a package.
🚫 If your package is returned to you due to not following the time frames stated in this policy, you are responsible for the return shipping cost.
🛑 IF YOU REFUSE TO PAY THE SHIPPING COST TO RETURN/RESHIP A PACKAGE BACK TO YOU, you will not receive a reimbursement for your order or the shipping cost. The item will not be released until all fees have been paid for by the customer.
🚫 STORE CREDIT: If you do not want to exchange for another item at this time, store credit will be given with the shipping costs deducted.
🚫 EXCHANGES: The item must be equal to or greater than, the original value of the garment being returned (not including sales & discounts). If the item value is less than the exchanged item, a reimbursement will be applied in the form of store credit only. If the item value is greater than, you will be invoiced to pay the remaining balance prior to your new item being shipped.
OUT OF TOWN WHEN PACKAGE GETS DELIVERED: Ordinary Selenophile must follow the return policies that are on the website (stated in the FAQ). Please view the return policy related tabs for more details regarding the policy & imperfections that are not considered a flaw. If Ordinary Selenophile is not contacted within 48 hours of your package being delivered, your exchange & return will be denied, regardless of any circumstances preventing you to do so.
If you will be out of town when your package is going to be processed to ship, please contact Ordinary Selenophile to hold your package, before it ships, until you return.
If your package is in transit and you will not be home to receive it, please contact your local postal carrier to hold the package at their facility until you return.

The shipping purchased at checkout can cost more than what the actual shipping cost is upon creating your label. If the shipping cost is less than what you purchased at checkout, you will be refunded the shipping difference upon your order being processed and shipped.
The shipping rates at checkout are real time postal rates which tend to be higher than the actual shipping cost as third party shipping companies are used to ship international orders.
All packages are shipped out as DDU. It is the buyers responsibility to know your countries customs duties & taxes.
There will be no refunds for the refusal of a package upon delivery due to fees owed on your package. Please purchase responsibly.
NO THIRD PARTY ORDERS: If an order is placed from the US or any other country but the shipping is to an international address, your order will be canceled.
If you are wanting to send the package internationally, you must have the package sent to your address from Ordinary Selenophile. You can then take the package to your local postal facility and ship it internationally on your own as fees will apply.

All order are pulled in line to be processed immediately after an order is placed. If you have received the tracking confirmation email that means that your order has been processed to ship.
If your package was shipped with an insufficient address, the postal service will typically ship the package back to sender.
If a new shipping label has to be created for your package, an invoice will be sent and must be paid by buyer prior to the package being reshipped.
Yes! Multiple orders will be consolidated into one package, if all items can fit, and you will be refunded the shipping difference.
Weight, location, and package size will all play a factor in how much shipping will cost upon consolidating your orders.
If you have received the tracking confirmation email for your first order, prior to placing a second, this means that your first order has been closed. The shipping cost will not be refunded for your second order as this will be used to ship your next package.
You can cancel your order within 10 minutes after your purchase. Order cancellations within 10 minutes will be refunded and credited back to the original card used to purchase.
If choosing to cancel your order, please contact through the contact form (located in the menu bar) with your name, order number and the reason for the cancellation.
Please note that if your order has been processed, packaged up and is ready to ship, you cannot cancel your order.
If contacted after the 10 minutes period regarding cancellations, your cancellation will not be accepted. This is to be expected.
Please note that item swaps are not guaranteed.
Because of this, I recommend considering your purchase carefully, as swaps are subject to availability and timing which cannot be promised.
Due to the high demand and limited availability of the products, items may sell quickly, and I cannot hold or reserve them while waiting for swap requests.
While I strive to respond to all inquiries as promptly as possible, I cannot ensure that a request will be answered in time before the item is sold.

After your order has been processed to ship, you will receive a tracking confirmation email. Please check your promotions or spam folder to locate the tracking confirmation email and please make sure your inbox is not full.
If you cannot locate the tracking confirmation email, please contact Ordinary Selenophile. The tracking confirmation email will be resent to the customer.
All standard orders are scheduled for bulk drop off 1-2 times per week. Please allow some time for tracking to update in the postal system.
PACKAGE STUCK IN TRANSIT: All packages are insured upon shipping.
If your package is still in transit and has not updated in the postal system after 7 business days, please contact Ordinary Selenophile.
Ordinary Selenophile will contact the postal carrier in regards to this matter and put in a ‘missing mail search’ to locate the package.
The postal carrier must go through a thorough investigation to locate the package prior to any updates being given. Please allow some time for them to investigate the matter.
Any reimbursement that is given must be given by the postal carrier to Ordinary Selenophile after a thorough investigation has been completed and they have concluded that they cannot locate the package. There will be no reimbursements to the customer until the postal carrier reimburses Ordinary Selenophile.
Please do not file any claims for lost, stolen or delayed mail unless the postal carrier advises you to do so as claims may be considered fraudulent which is illegal.
Any further questions you have regarding lost, stolen, or delayed mail, please be sure or contact the postal carrier that was used to ship your package for more details as they will be able to provide you with further information.
PACKAGE RETURNED TO SENDER: Packages may be returned to sender due to a variety of different reasons.
- Insufficient Address on your order
- Not including apartment numbers on your order
- Not paying for customs duties and taxes upon delivery (international only)
- A marking on the label during shipping that prevents the address from being seen
- Per the customers request, a package being held at a local post office that is not picked up for more than 10 days
- Missing mail that was found and returned to sender
In the event that your package has to been returned to sender to reship, the shipping cost for the new shipment must be paid for by the customer prior to your package being reshipped if it was a customer error.
If the package was returned to sender due to a post office or delivery driver error, the shipping cost to resend the package will be covered by Ordinary Selenophile.
There are no refunds for packages being sent back to sender. In the event that your package is returned to the sender, if you refuse to pay the shipping cost to reship the package, or if you refuse the package for not wanting to pay international fees, there will be no reimbursements, returns, exchanges or store credit given as all sales are final.
TRACKING SAYS DELIVERED - DID NOT RECEIVE: All packages are insured upon shipping.
If your tracking number states delivered however you have not received it, your package:
- May have accidentally been delivered to a neighbors
- The postal service may mark your package as delivered and deliver it within 48 hours
- Your package is being held at a local facility
- You entered the wrong shipping address when placing your order
Please check with your household, neighbors or your local postal carrier & delivery facility to see if the package was misplaced. The postal carrier used to ship your package can be located in the tracking confirmation email.
All carriers have an exact GPS location of where your package was delivered to. They can show you in person if you choose to go to your local carrier facility and speak with them directly.
It is the buyers responsibility to get in contact with the postal carrier in regards to any lost or stolen mail that says ‘delivered’ prior to contacting Ordinary Selenophile.
Please do not file any claims for lost, stolen or delayed mail unless the postal service advises you to do so as claims may be considered fraudulent which is illegal.
Ordinary Selenophile will not file any package insurance claims for the customer unless advised by the postal carrier to do so after they have completed their investigation into the matter.
If you believe your package has been stolen, you must contact the postal carrier to stop all mail from being delivered to your address until the matter is resolved. You will also need to contact your local authorities to report "mail fraud". All mail will be paused from being delivered to your address until the matter is investigated further.
The postal service must reimburse Ordinary Selenophile for a lost package, if it was lost at their expense, as packages are insured. A refund will not be given to the customer until Ordinary Selenophile has been reimbursed by the postal carrier. If your package was stolen, the postal carrier & authorities will need to investigate the matter to retrieve your goods before any reimbursement is given to ensure the claim is not fraudulent.
Actual product color may vary from the images shown. Every monitor or mobile display has a different capability to display colors, and every individual may see these colors differently. In addition, lighting conditions at the time the photo was taken can also affect an image's color. Ordinary Selenophile cannot guarantee that the color you see accurately portrays the true color of the product.
Below is a list of imperfections that ARE NOT to be considered ‘flaws’ that include, but are not limited to:

• Pin Holes / Price Tag or Vending Tag Pin Holes
• Transparancy of an item
• Faded Colors
• Different patterns, colors & placements
• Dye transfer markings
• Hand Stamped / Hand Painted color or marking transfers
• Any flaw to a garment after it has been worn
• Colors Varying
• Snags on a garment
• Hand Stamped / Hand Painted patterns being less or more painted in a certain area
• Minor holes
• Fabrics being uncomfortable
• Overlooking descriptions & policies
• Seam-line threading
• Markings, spots or dyes on recycled scrap pieces
• Garments not being identical to the picture - due to items being handmade, items are to be considered ‘one of a kind’ - the pictures are only used for reference to show the style & fit of the garment only. The patterns, colors & placements will vary.

• Any flaw to a garment after it has been worn or washed. Please view the care instructions in the menu bar for more details.
• Colors not being as bright as the pictures - due to the lighting conditions at the time of all pictures, as well as all monitors portraying different colors, Ordinary Selenophile cannot guarantee that the color you see accurately portrays the true color of the item.
Due to the garments being handmade, and most made out of recycled fabrics, minor imperfections may occur and are to be expected. A garment’s structure must be completely compromised to make it unable to wear, to be considered a flaw. Personal preference if an item can be worn, or not, is not considered a flaw.
As each garment is handmade, whether it is tie dye or patchwork, the patterns, colors and placements will vary for all as each one made is to be considered ‘one of a kind’ as no two pairs will ever be identical. The pictures are used for reference to show the style and the fit of the garment only.
The item you receive may have brighter or duller colors, more colors placed in an area than others, white showing through tie dye items, tie dye patterns being different than the images, patchwork items may have more color placements and patterns than others as they are made from recycled pieces, etc.
Actual product color may vary from the images shown. Every monitor or mobile display has a different capability to display colors, and every individual may see these colors differently. In addition, lighting conditions at the time the photo was taken can also affect an image's color. Ordinary Selenophile cannot guarantee that the color you see accurately portrays the true color of the product.
These reasons are not considered flaws to a garment as this is a personal preference therefore there will be no exchanges, returns or store credit given for personally not liking the item you received due to the different colors, patterns and placements.

The approximate measurements are in inches which may included the bust, waist, hips, leg length, inseam and rise of a garment. The approximate measurements include what an item can fit from and up to depending on the elasticity of the fabric or if a waistband includes elastic and a drawstring.

Free size is not to be confused with 'one size fits all'.
Free size, at this shop, means that one particular item can fit a variety of sizes based on the approximate measurements.

Hand washing, or dry cleaning, garments is recommended. If using a machine, please note that Ordinary Selenophile is not responsible for any flaw to a garment after washing.

Harassment includes, but is not limited to, repeated or aggressive messages, public or private social media harassment, disparaging statements, or any attempts to coerce, threaten, or retaliate due to dissatisfaction with policies, timelines, availability, or outcomes that differ from customer expectations.
I reserve the right, at my sole discretion, to:
• Refuse service to any individual engaging in harassment or abusive behavior
• Cancel orders or transactions without notice if the customer violates this policy
• Pursue any remedies available under applicable law if necessary
By purchasing from Ordinary Selenophile, customers agree to communicate respectfully and in good faith. Violations of this policy may result in immediate cancellation of orders and refusal of future service.
Chargebacks are not permitted for knowingly placed orders, dissatisfaction with policies, buyer’s remorse, processing times, shipping delays disclosed in advance, postal delays or failure to review store terms.
By completing a purchase on this website, the customer acknowledges and agrees to all store policies, including but not limited to processing times, fulfillment terms, and dispute procedures. All policies are clearly stated and made available prior to checkout, and it is the customer’s responsibility to review them before placing an order.
Processing times are not subject to chargebacks. Orders that are within the stated processing timeframe, or delayed due to circumstances disclosed in our policies or by the postal service, do not constitute non-fulfillment and are not valid grounds for filing a chargeback.
Filing a chargeback without first contacting Ordinary Selenophile to attempt resolution, or submitting a chargeback that is false, misleading, or in violation of our stated policies (including claims of unauthorized transactions for knowingly placed orders), constitutes chargeback fraud. Chargebacks filed in contradiction to acknowledged store policies are not permitted and will be formally disputed.
We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel current or future orders, permanently restrict purchasing privileges, and submit all relevant evidence—including order confirmations, delivery confirmation, IP address data, transaction logs, and customer communications—to Shopify, payment processors, and financial institutions.
Fraudulent chargebacks may result in legal action and/or referral to collections to recover losses, chargeback fees, administrative costs, and any additional damages incurred.
Customers are encouraged to contact Ordinary Selenophile directly regarding any concerns so that a resolution may be attempted prior to initiating a dispute.
I do not provide special exceptions or preferential treatment. All customers are treated equally, regardless of purchase history.
All policies must be followed by all customers at any given point in time.
No special treatment or preferential service will be provided based on threats, intimidation, or repeated demands.
I reserve the right to refuse service and cancel orders from any individual who engages in threatening behavior or harassment. Such conduct may also be reported to the appropriate authorities if necessary.
